Maine coon memorial keepsakes
With a Maine coon the likeness lives in three places: the ear tufts, the ruff around the neck, and the length of the muzzle. Miss those and you have made a large tabby. That is why the photo matters more here than the piece does — a shot that shows the whole ruff, taken from slightly below, does more for the portrait than any amount of retouching afterwards.

What suits a maine coon
| For this animal | What it means for the piece |
|---|---|
| Size and weight | A Maine coon at 5–8kg takes the L collar tag — 3cm, 9g. It reads well on a wide collar; the S disappears in the ruff. |
| The coat | Long, dense, and it gives up a lot of it. The fur keepsake keychain and the woven locket both have a chamber you fill at home, which suits a cat that leaves fur on everything. |
| The photo | Slightly below eye level, daylight, the whole head and ruff in frame. A phone photo on a windowsill is usually enough. |

Two waiting times, and we do not average them: pieces made from scratch take about 15 days to make and then 10–14 days tracked — roughly four weeks door to door. Ready-made pieces arrive in 8–12 days.
Before you order: the photo
- Get the ruff in. The ruff is half the likeness. A head-only crop of a Maine coon turns it into a large tabby.
- Shoot from slightly below. Phone held at chest height flatters the muzzle and shows the ear tufts against the ceiling rather than against the body.
- Daylight, no lamp. A warm lamp on white fur blows out the eyes; window light keeps them.
- Two photos if the fur is long. One full head and ruff, one closer, so the design can pick which reads better at 3cm.
A Maine coon gives you one advantage most cats do not: enough fur to fill a chamber without anyone noticing it is gone. If you want the fur piece as well as the portrait, collect it before the collar and the bedding go — it is much harder to find afterwards.
