Ragdoll memorial keepsakes
A ragdoll's likeness is in three things: the points (the darker face, ears and tail), the blue eyes, and the sheer amount of coat around the neck. The first two are about tone and the third is about silhouette — which is why a ragdoll is easier to make in leather, where tone can be painted, than in a metal tag that only carries line.

What suits a ragdoll

| Colour and points | Metal carries line, not colour. The mask and the ears read as shape; the blue of the eyes does not survive. If the colour is what you remember, the painted leather portrait is the piece to choose. |
| The coat | Long, plush, low-shed but generous. A pinch for the locket or the fur keychain is easy to find and nobody will notice it is gone. |
Before you order: the photo
- Front-on, eyes open. The blue eyes are the anchor. A photo with the eyes half-closed loses the thing people recognise.
- Get the ruff in. Ragdolls look like large cats because of the neck coat. Crop it out and the portrait reads as a generic longhair.
- Daylight, no warm lamp. A warm bulb turns cream points into orange; window light keeps the distinction between body and points.
- Note where the points are. Seal, mitted or bicolour — it changes which areas are dark, and the design depends on it.
If the colour is the memory — the cream body, the dark mask — say so when you send the photo. That is the one case where we will steer you from metal to the painted leather piece.
