Yorkshire terrier memorial gifts

A yorkie is mostly hair. The coat is fine and silky and closer to human hair than fur, and half the time it is tied up out of the eyes or falling forward over the face. What makes a yorkie recognisable in a portrait is the face under the hair — so the photo has to show it, not hide it.

Everything here is made from a photo you already have, in Chengdu, one at a time. Nothing is posted to us.

What suits a yorkie

For this animalWhat it means for the piece
Size and weightA yorkie runs 4–7 lb (1.8–3.2 kg), so it sits in the S tag — 2.5cm, 6g. The L is too big for the collar and looks heavy on a dog this small.
The coatLong, fine, and low-shedding — closer to hair than fur, so a fur keepsake is a pinch you collect from brushing rather than a handful off the floor. The fall often covers the eyes; the portrait needs the face clear.
The photoMove the hair. A yorkie photographed with the fall over the eyes is just a blur of tan. Clip it back, or brush it aside, and the face appears.

Made from one photo

Two waiting times, and we do not average them: pieces made from scratch take about 15 days to make and then 10–14 days tracked — roughly four weeks door to door. Ready-made pieces arrive in 8–12 days.

Before you order: the photo

If the only photo you have is an old one from years ago, that is still the right photo to start with. Send it before you order and we will tell you what it can and cannot hold — that conversation is free, and it is the point at which a portrait can still change.

Questions people ask

My yorkie's hair covers its eyes — is that a problem?
Only if the photo shows it that way. Lift the fall aside for the shot and the face is clear; send the photo and we will tell you what we can hold.
Which tag size?
The S (2.5cm) — a yorkie is a small dog and the L looks oversized on the collar.
Do you need the whole dog?
No. Head and chest is the useful crop; the portrait carries the face, and a full-body shot makes the head too small to read.

If the piece matters more than the breed, start at memorial keepsakes by animal. For other dogs the size guidance barely changes; for cats it does — see the cat page. Everything we make is on the shop page.
