Horse people usually want the head: the eye, the blaze, the way the ears sit. Send a photo that shows the head side-on or three-quarters and we work from that. A photo of a horse in a field at a distance is the one case where we will ask for another.

What is different about horses
A horse's head is long, so the usual square crop cuts the muzzle. The 8 by 11cm scalloped plaque and the 12 by 8cm size both suit a full head; message us with the photo and we will tell you which shape fits before you pay.
Hair keepsakes are the classic horse keepsake — a lock from the tail, usually. Ours ship empty: you put the hair in yourself at home. That matters if the horse is buried on the property and you would rather not post anything abroad.
We do not take hoof prints, and the paw print kits are sized for cats and dogs, not a hoof. We would rather say that here than take an order we cannot fill properly.
What you send
One photo, sent by message after you order. We look at it before we start and tell you honestly if it will not work — that is the moment to change it, not after it ships. Then we send you a photo of the finished piece for approval.
