What works for a cat

A cat's paw is small, so the print kit still works but wants a lighter hand — press evenly and gently rather than hard, or the pad spreads and the outline blurs. Take it on a day the cat is calm; a print taken mid-struggle is rarely usable.

Fur keepsakes suit cats because the hair is fine and holds well in a small chamber. Ours ship empty: there is a shallow space behind the plate, you fill it at home and press it shut. Nothing goes through customs, and nobody else touches it.

If your cat had a notch in one ear, one eye, a folded ear or a very flat face, say so when you order. Those are the details that decide whether the finished piece looks like them and not like a generic cat.

One photo, sent by message after you order. We look at it before we start and tell you honestly if it will not work — that is the moment to change it, not after it ships. Then we send you a photo of the finished piece for approval.

Questions people ask

Can you work from an indoor photo taken on a phone?
Usually yes. Most cat photos are taken indoors in ordinary light — on a windowsill, on a bed, on the floor. Send the best one you have and we will say honestly whether the face is clear enough before anything is made.
What matters most in a cat photo?
The eyes and the ear shape. A cat is recognisable from those two things more than from the whole body. A photo where the cat is looking at the camera beats a sharper one where it is turned away.
My cat's paw is small. Does the print kit still work?
Yes, but press lighter than you would for a dog. A cat's pad is smaller, so an even, gentle press gives you the whole shape — pressing hard spreads the pad and blurs the outline.
Do I have to send fur or a paw print?
No. Every piece can be made from a photo alone. The fur keepsake and the paw print kit are optional, and the fur keychain ships empty — you add the fur at home, so nothing goes through customs.
What does shipping cost?
Nothing extra. Tracked worldwide delivery is already inside the listed price, and it usually arrives 10 to 15 days after the piece is finished.
